I guess I basically fried them. After I made the cookie dough, I baked some in the oven and some on the frying pan. Without altering the recipe or anything, I just set a pan on the stove at LOW and placed cookie dough on it for 20 minutes. The result of this baking experiment was mindblowing. The frying-pan baked cookies were so much softer and delicious. The oven baked ones were somewhat dry and left crumbs all over the place, but the “fried” ones were not dry and yet fully baked. Loved it!

During today’s interview, I learned how much love and respect I have for my parents…When my interviewer asked me “why do you work so hard to do so well in your community? ” I automatically thought of my parents, and the sacrifices they made so that my sister and I can experience the world to a greater extant than themselves.. I guess I expected this response from me, but what surprised me was how much I valued their efforts. It was embarrasing, but I couldn’t stop my voice from wavering, and I had to struggle to keep my eyes dry. But it’s the truth. I grew up unblind to their sacrifices, and seeing the wrinkles on their faces..and the hardened fingers, I want to excel.

I’ve always had many things that I wanted to try but never made the time for, and with all the free time that comes for seniors at this time, I’ve decided to try as many as I can get.

These are the ones I have already planned out and started:

-learn, teach, and perform a korean dance at an international appreciation event.

-extend my knowledge of cooking/baking

-learn chinese

-get my driver’s license

Interesting, but I can’t see people living solely on bananas. Surprisingly, my friend’s mom lost 14 lbs in 3 months with the banana diet.
